5-Day Wildlife and Cultural Discovery Safari in Tanzania

Overview

This 5-day safari lets you see amazing animals and overnight at amazing accommodations. With Serengeti Sunrise Safaris, a tour operator based in Arusha, you are immersed in the unspoiled nature of real Africa. You will see wild animals up close and take photos of the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania. This tour provides full board while on safari, a personal English-speaking guide, and private use of a 4x4 Jeep (with mineral water, power sockets, and binoculars supplied).

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha ➝ Tarangire National Park

You are picked up from your lodge early in the morning to start the beautiful journey to Tarangire National Park while carrying lunch boxes.

Tarangire National Park is well-known for its large elephant herds. You will see a variety of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savanna. All these while the Tarangire River winds its way through the parklands. You may see a lion stalking its prey and leopards relaxing in the trees above. Once the game drives are complete, we will drive you back to your lodge to relax, have dinner and stay overnight.

Accommodation: Africa Safari Lake Manyara (Safari Tent)

After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park on a game drive and enjoy lunch at a suitable place inside the park. We will continue the game drive activity in the afternoon before reaching the lodge. You spend the following day inside the park on game drives.

Serengeti National Park is well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. However, be ready to see resident predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

After breakfast, you depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater while carrying lunch boxes. Once the game drive is complete, we will drive you back to your lodge to relax, have dinner and stay overnight.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the area that constitutes the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa. About 30 000 large mammals are resident all year round (such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos), and a wide variety of birds (such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards). So be ready to see many animals here within a short time.

Accommodation: Marera Valley Lodge

After breakfast, our safari guide will drive you to Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe tribe. This tribe is famous for hunting, so you can go hunting with them and see how they do it. Next, we will take you to the Datoga tribe. This tribe is well-known for its skills as a blacksmith. You can explore the rest of Lake Eyasi and stroll through the village at leisure.

Finally, we will drive you back to Arusha, where the safari ends.
