Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport; our safari driver guide will be waiting for you in Airport to transfer you to the hotel in Arusha for your accommodation and overnight.
Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti
After breakfast, Game drive en-route to the great Serengeti Plains via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, after a picnic lunch proceed with your game drive in the central Serengeti national park around Seronera or trace the direction of the migration.
After the game drives, we’ll drive to the lodge/Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3: A full day game drives in Serengeti (Central Serengeti)
The entire day is set aside for full game drives in the Serengeti National Park after breakfast. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as wildebeest, elephants, impalas, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos. However, it is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year.
After the game drives, we’ll drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4: Continue with another full game drive in Serengeti National Park (South western Serengeti)
After breakfast, we will take the picnic lunch boxes and proceed with the game drive in the Serengeti National Park (Ndutu area)
The migration can be seen on a long chain approximately 40 Km heading to the south western direction, after having our lunch we will proceed with our game viewing following the move of the migrants on the southwest of the park. Approximately 1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles and 200,000 Zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass, Pasture and Water ready for starting calving seasons.
After the game drives, we’ll drive to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
wake up early after breakfast, an early morning game drives in the Serengeti followed by picnic lunch on the way to Ngorongoro crater. We will stop at spectacular Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. After the game drives, we’ll drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Today after heavy breakfast, we will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for your crater tour. Here you we will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys, elephants and other wild mammals and the lake area, where we may see flamingos and other birds’ species. We will also visit the open savannah Plains area where the lions and other predators hunt. Also the Picnic lunch will be served in the crater.
Ngorongoro conservation area is among of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the seven wonders of Africa and the most incredible ecosystems on earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano. It is about 610m deep and covers roughly 260 sq. km. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000 species, In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino.
After the game drives, we’ll drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 7: Rhino lodge to the Airport
Early After delicious breakfast our driver guide will transfer you from Rhino lodge to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Air port ready for your flight back home or connect to other destinations.
